Belgium sampling
With MSc student Lauren Bell we have been in Belgium sampling material from several sites to screen for human bones using ZooMS. We went to Andenne and the small village of Sclayn where the Scladina site is located. With our colleagues Grègory Abrams and Kevin di Modica we spent 2 days sampling bone material from several local sites for Lauren's dissertation research. Lauren is using ZooMS to find hominin bone from several sites in Europe. Once back in the lab here in Oxford she will start the wet chemistry prep and we will then have results in the next couple of weeks.
