Kent's Cavern excavations on TV

PalaeoChron has funded new research at the Kent's Cavern site near Torquay in the UK where associate member Dr Rob Dinnis (Oxford) has been working. The new excavations, aimed at finding a previous cave entrance, were run successfully last summer. The work has featured on the latest episode of the BBC series "Digging for Britain" with Alice Roberts. Rob and his team discovered undisturbed remains of Palaeolithic sediment in the newly found entrance, including articulating bone of bears and other animals. Samples from the dig are now in the ORAU waiting dating. New work is planned in 2016.

The programme can bee seen on the BBC iPlayer site here. (Sometimes the link won't play overseas).
