New HPLC lab opens

After alot of work cleaning out the old ORAU workshop by Thibaut, Dan, Mike, Joe and others, the task of moving instruments into the new HPLC Lab was able to begin last week. What was previously a pretty dusty and full workshop has now been transformed into a lovely cleanlab with lots of space for our instruments and places for storage, computing and desk work. The new Jasco SFC/SFE instrument and the HPLC are now happily located in the new Lab and working nicely.

Full credit goes to Thibaut for designing and pushing the project to completion, and everyone that helped move things out of the workshop and into the renovated space. The final result is really super and will allow us to now develop the methods of compound specific AMS and single amino acid dating for PalaeoChron and for the wider ORAU operation. This is the future for the dating of bone and other proteins and we are very excited to now have this purpose built facility as part of the Lab.
