PalaeoChron starts

We were informed of the success of the application to fund our work in November 2012. After a series of negotiations with the ERC local office and many documents to sign, the start date of the project was set to be the 1st of May 2013. It will run for 5 years.

By that time, the first full-time post on the project was taken up by Dr. Katerina Douka. Katerina is responsible for the day-to-day runnng of the project, the planning and organization of fieldwork, as well as sample selection and preparation.

We will employ 2 more full-time postdocs and fund 1 PhD student to start in 2014.
